The estate stretches over 12 hectares owned by the family over some of the best crus in Verduno and Monforte. Most of them yield Nebbiolo grapes, but the family also concentrates on all local grape varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera and the rare Pelaverga which is to be found only in Verduno town. Two white berry varieties are also being grown: the local Favorita and the more international Chardonnay, which is the only foreign variety the winery has got.
Of all the wines we produce, Monvigliero could be considered Verduno’s true ‘Grand Cru’; the vineyard being located north-east of the village.
A midday the vineyard faces directly south, at approx 300 metres above sea level & shaped as a natural amphitheatre facing La Morra.
The soil is rather ‘sciolto’, comprised of fine calcareous clay.
Gramolere is an historical & important ‘Cru’ within the commune of Monforte d’Alba, stretching out over a long
hillside that drops from 470 to 370 metres above sea level.

The zone has always been treasured, not only for its aspect but also for the nature of its soil.
