
“Priòra” is a selection of two particularly well exposed vineyards suitable for the cultivation of Barbera. Aged in wood for over a year, this wine aims to enhance the complexity, richness and longevity that the grape can express.

Harvest period and method: in the first half of October, by hand
Vine training and Density of plants: Guyot; about 4,500 vines per hectare
Fermentation and Maceration: 10 – 12 days in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 29 – 31 °C (84– 88 °F)
Ageing and Fining: 12 – 14 months in French oak barrels (500 litres) and/or in Franch or Slavonian oak casks (20-40 Hl.), 2 months in stainless steel tanks and at least 2 months in horizontally laid bottles
Bottling period: in the Springtime of the second year after the harvest
Longevity: 6 – 10 years
