Barolo chinato

An aromatised wine, created at the end of the 19th century for medicinal purposes. Recommended by pharmacists of the time for its digestive and curative properties, it soon became a meditation wine, to be sipped at the end of a meal or in front of the fireplace.

Ginger, Cloves, Anise, Rhubarb etc.)

Wine: Barolo docg 100%

Colour: garnet red with orange reflections

Nose: intense, complex, spicy

Taste: pleasantly soft, velvety and balanced

Minimum alcohol content: 16 %

Pairings: As an aperitif, digestive or in combination with chocolate-based desserts

Longevity: 10-20 years

Serving temperature: 15-18 °C
